Today we have a big update to our pitcher rankings and not only will it include the new buy ratings but since people seemed to enjoy the “Best Buys by Dollar Amount” on the hitters article I’ve added one for pitchers as well. There are some big time movers in today’s rankings and for those who aren’t aware much of that has to do with how much more volatile pitching prospects are in my opinion. To be an elite hitting prospects you basically have to be a guy, you almost never see hitters go from outside the top 200 to inside the top 10. Pitchers are entirely different. Small tweaks and improvements to a pitcher’s velocity, spin, command, pitch shape, etc. can do wonders and it’s not uncommon to see pitching prospects you’ve never even heard of turn in the most dominant seasons out of the blue. Luckily we track all of the stats and performances on a daily basis so the goal is that we can find some of these risers before everybody else has time to catch on.
