The rosters are set (for now) for the MLB All-Star Futures Game which will be played on Sunday July 12th. As a prospect junkie this is one of my favorite baseball days of the year and the fact that MLB has leaned into its prospects and put this together, giving everyone the ability to watch it live on TV, is fantastic. Last year Josue De Paula took home the hardware as the game MVP but there were a handful of other prospects who impressed as well. Do you know what happened when they impressed on a national stage? That’s right, their card prices went up. Although these are household names to us in reality they are not for most baseball fans, and many of them have never seen these players swing a bat or throw a pitch until this showcase comes across their screen. This gives us a unique opportunity to buy some of these prospects that may already be slept on in the card market in hopes that a strong performance in the Futures Game could send their stock through the roof. Here is a breakdown of every Bowman prospect who will be playing in that game, what prices we’re seeing today, where I have them ranked, and who might be worth buying.
