It seems crazy that today will cap off our 17th week of hot sheets since it feels as though the season only started a couple of months ago. We’ve got a bunch of pitchers making their second consecutive appearance here, some even their third, but only one will be setting a record today with his NINTH straight hot sheet. Let’s see who that might be and which players have moved into a buying range with our updated rankings and prices as of this morning.

*All players sorted by ERA with K/9 as tiebreaker

Blue Player Name = Two consecutive weeks on sheet

Red Player Name = Three or more consecutive weeks on sheet

Green Age = 1+ years younger than average pitcher at that level

Orange Age = 1+ years older than average pitcher at that level

Base Auto = Price of average 1st Bowman Chrome Autograph as of this morning

Dean Livingston (ARI) - Rank: 74

  • 5 weeks in a row!

  • Price Last Week: $9.65

  • Price This Week: $6.58 (-31.8%)

  • Buy Rating: 5.0/5.0 (Strongest Buy)

    • Expected Value - $14.44

At this point in the season I wouldn’t say there’s a huge rush to buy Livingston because I’m not sure there is a ton he can do from now until the end of the season to send his stock soaring, but he could move up some end of season prospect lists so now’s not the worst time either. Especially now that his average base autograph is down a couple dollars putting his actual price more than 100% below his target, resulting in a perfect 5.0/5.0 buy rating. I’ve said all the good things I can say about Livingston in past articles including putting him top 5 in my “10 Best Bowman Pitchers Under $10” piece last week. This is one you buy if you don’t mind a long-term investment because he’ll need more time to develop but his ceiling is very high for this price tag. He will likely be one of my favorite offseason pitcher targets this winter.

Sabier Marte (NYY) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $2.21

  • Price This Week: $3.14 (+42.1%)

Great to see Marte make two trips to the hot sheet in his first three starts since a promotion from CPX to A but there’s still not a ton here for me. Fantastic frame but I’m not sold on the stuff and after posting a 10.75 K/9 in the CPX that number is 6.35 so far in A ball. Not going to overreact to 11.1 innings but he’s allowing much more contact and the FIP suggests his last couple of starts have been lucky. Would need to see some improvements next year before I was really interested.

Ty Floyd (CIN) - Rank: N/A

  • 3 weeks in a row!

  • Price Last Week: $3.35

  • Price This Week: $3.31 (-1.2%)

As I said last week the name of the game with Floyd is staying healthy which he’s struggled to do since being drafted. He now has three solid starts in a row under his belt in A+ but nothing that’s really a signal to buy. Swing-and-miss has just been okay, command has been eh. There’s upside here but I’d imagine most of this season will be in a ramping back up capacity since he’s missed so much time so we might not see his best stuff until 2027.

Tanner Franklin (STL) - Rank: 41

  • 3 weeks in a row!

  • Price Last Week: $15.44

  • Price This Week: $14.93 (-3.3%)

  • Buy Rating: 4.1/5.0 (Buy)

    • Expected Value - $23.28

It’s pretty wild that fans got so excited about Franklin in early April that they drove his base autograph price up over $30 and here we are today with it sitting at less than half of that. He spent many months teetering on the line of being a good buy or not but with a move up in the rankings after yet another dominant performance he’s now officially a ‘buy’. There are few different ways you can generate hobby buzz as a pitcher but being a 6’5” arm in a great organization with a double plus fastball checks most of the boxes. I think we’re going to see him make a big jump in 2027.

Landen Maroudis (TOR) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $2.35

  • Price This Week: $2.78 (+18.3%)

After not being able to find the zone last season, Maroudis has improved his command a great deal this year, the only issue is that him being in the zone more frequently is leading to hitters making better contact against him. Looked great in his debut at 19 but it was only a handful of starts and nothing since then has been that great. Nothing for me yet.

Aiden May (MIA) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $3.06

  • Price This Week: $4.10 (+34.0%)

There have been a few positives to take away from May’s season this year, mostly that he’s dropped his walk rate from 14.0% to 8.2%. Unfortunately like I just said with Maroudis landing more pitches in the zone has led to hitters making better contact, and his strikeout rates have dropped by nearly 6% keeping his K-BB% exactly the same as it was. I don’t see a ton of things that point towards him being a big hobby name unless his ability to miss bats improves.

Kendry Chourio (KC) - Rank: 6

  • Price Last Week: $36.40

  • Price This Week: $46.86 (+28.7%)

  • Buy Rating: 3.6/5.0 (Lean Buy)

    • Expected Value - $61.75

The numbers say he’s almost a buy but I still like him as one at this number given that him and Anthony Eyanson keep trading places and should both be viewed in this same $60-75 target range. There aren’t enough positive things I can say about Chourio who first got stamped as a ‘buy’ at around $30 and he’s only going to keep going up at this rate. It’s ridiculous that he’s 18 in High-A, more than 4 years younger than the average player, and his stats have actually gotten better since he was promoted from Single-A. Across both levels he now has a 2.06 ERA, 9.04 K/9, and 1.60 BB/9 over 78.2 innings. One of the best seasons I’ve personally ever seen from a pitching prospect this age. It’s scary to think about much his stuff could jump up from now until his age 19 season, and once Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan are called up you’re likely looking at the #2 pitching prospect in baseball after Seth Hernandez next year.

Jose Urbina (TB) - Rank: 114

  • Price Last Week: $4.73

  • Price This Week: $5.83 (+23.3%)

  • Buy Rating: 4.0/5.0 (Buy)

    • Expected Value - $8.70

One of the 2026 Bowman sleepers, Urbina keeps slowly but steadily climbing the rankings here and still has an average base autograph that hasn’t gone above $6 for the most part. Last year was very encouraging for the then 19-year-old and while he’s given up more runs this year the K/9 is up over 10.0 for the first time in his four professional seasons. Since he started in the CPX at age 17, Urbina is still only 20 at High-A and is one of only five Bowman pitchers his age or younger with 70+ innings and a K/9 over 10.0. The other four are Seth Hernandez, Johnny King, Braylon Doughty, and David Shields. He hasn’t broken out and is still a bit of an unknown but the bones are here for a really nice pitching prospect and he’s definitely in the right organization to make it happen.

Andrew Taylor (HOU) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $1.95

  • Price This Week: $1.61 (-17.4%)

Almost did a double take when I pulled Taylor’s player page. After another strong start last week the 6’5” right-hander now has a 2.93 ERA, 9.39 K/9, and 1.17 BB/9 in High-A. Of course it’s only been 15.1 innings since he just returned two weeks ago from a three month layoff after making only two starts in early April, but he’s looked good in those starts. Most notably with his command. Taylor made two rehab starts in the CPX and has now had two more since his return to High-A and is yet to walk a single batter over the last 13 innings. He’s old for the level so that hurts but he’s still worth keeping an eye on to see how he finishes the season.

Kohl Franklin (CHC) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $1.57

  • Price This Week: $1.57 (no change)

Franklin’s season started only a few weeks ago as he’s returning from an elbow injury that caused him to miss basically all of 2025. His command has looked good early on which you love to see from a guy returning from injury since that’s often one of the areas where there’s rust, so it shouldn’t be long before he returns to AA or AAA, the two levels he pitched at in 2024. After throwing 105 innings in 2023 however Franklin has been killed by injuries and has thrown a total of 20.2 innings in the last three seasons. Since he’s now up there in age as far as Bowman people are concerned and he’s never been a guy to rack up a bunch of strikeouts, there’s not much here for me. Just happy to see him back on the mound.

Jack Mahoney (COL) - Rank: N/A

  • 4 weeks in a row!

  • Price Last Week: $3.20

  • Price This Week: $2.26 (-29.4%)

Rockies pitching lab strikes again? Mahoney’s hot season continues where he now has a 2.03 ERA, 8.42 K/9, and 3.05 BB/9 in AA after finishing 2025 with a 5.93 ERA, 6.96 K/9, and 3.96 BB/9 at the same level. He’s locating better, missing more bats, and has seen his ground ball rate go up by 15%. Due to age, team, and fact that he’s not a big swing-and-miss pitcher I don’t suspect this turnaround will garner much hobby attention but it’s still very impressive.

Gary Gill Hill (TB) - Rank: N/A

  • 3 weeks in a row!

  • Price Last Week: $6.63

  • Price This Week: $5.13 (-22.6%)

Don’t look now but Mr. Efficient who goes out and gives you 6 strong innings but only a strikeout or two now has 13 K’s combined in his last two starts. Hill kills you with location and has some of the best command over his entire repertoire that you’re going to find at this level. A level which he’s quite young for I might add. With last week’s start he’s gone over 100 innings pitched in three consecutive seasons and hasn’t posted a walk rate higher than 6.2% in any of them. Might not get a ton of hobby love as a control over stuff guy but this is an incredibly safe floor for $5 and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him pitch in the show by next season.

Cooper Hjerpe (STL) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $13.24

  • Price This Week: $17.06 (+28.9%)

Hopefully people haven’t forgotten about Hjerpe who was a 1st round pick back in 2022 but has unfortunately missed a ton of time with injuries including losing all of last season and most of this one. He’s back now though and he’s been fun to watch, coming from an almost impossible arm slot and making the hitters that he faces look extremely uncomfortable. It’s only been 20 innings but opposing batters are hitting just .132 with a 38.8% strikeout rate so far this year against Hjerpe. Sadly he’s gotten some public love already as I’ve seen clips floating around on Twitter and despite the fact that he’s only made 4 AA starts his price is already higher than expected. Glad to see him healthy and missing bats at a crazy clip but I can’t do much with this price right now.

Cory Lewis (MIN) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $1.04

  • Price This Week: $1.04 (no change)

Lewis had a pretty strong 2024 season but when the Twins moved him to AAA the following year he struggled, specifically in the control department where his walk rate shot from 12.1% up to 18.6%. He’s gotten it back down this year which is good to see but also he’s been pitching in AA so it’s not like he’s exactly proven his issues at the next level have been fixed. Good frame and potential for a player who looked great the first two years of his professional career but now that he’s 25 and was demoted from the level he was at last year I’m not sure we can do much with his cards.

Ben Hess (NYY) - Rank: 58

  • Price Last Week: $19.00

  • Price This Week: $15.63 (-17.7%)

  • Buy Rating: 3.2/5.0 (Slightly Undervalued)

    • Expected Value - $17.48

Here’s something you don’t see every day, a Yankees prospect the formula thinks is undervalued. Hess is enjoying himself a nice year in AA with a 3.94 ERA and 27% strikeout rate but for whatever reason the New York fan base which drastically overreacts to prospects playing well has never really fully gotten behind Hess. Since his secondary pitches grade out much better than his fastball it’s an odd hobby profile but still one I don’t mind, but now that his name is being floated around in so many mock trades I’d probably wait and make sure he’s not moved at the deadline if you plan on grabbing something. As is the story with most Yankees prospects this thing could lose value immediately if he were traded to almost any other team. For now though I do think he’s a little slept on for how well he’s pitched in pinstripes.

Rafe Schlesinger (CLE) - Rank: N/A

  • Price Last Week: $3.58

  • Price This Week: $3.58 (no change)

Pitching in both A+ and AA this year, Schlesinger has a 5.13 ERA, 10.93 K/9, and 3.68 BB/9 but opponents are batting .368 on balls put in play which is quite high, and his 4.30 xFIP says he’s been more effective than the ERA might indicate. He was impressive early on this year and a lot of the advanced numbers were trending up from last year but since his move to AA he’s had a harder time dealing with the hitters there. His K/9 has dropped by nearly 4 strikeouts since the promotion and AA batters have a contact rate over 80% against him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has more success next year when he returns to this level since he’s showing improvement but for now I’d wait.

Daniel Eagen (ARI) - Rank: 124

  • Price Last Week: $8.23

  • Price This Week: $8.23 (no change)

  • Buy Rating: 3.0/5.0 (Spot On)

    • Expected Value - $8.13

Alright, Eagen is getting reeeeal close to pulling me back in. I was quite high on him entering this season but he got lit up early on in AA after dominating A+ last year in his debut. After getting rouged up in April to the tune of 0-4 with an 8.71 ERA in 5 starts, he’s settled down and his rolling ERA continues to fall with each good outing. This past one was one of the best and the second time this year he struck out 10 batters in a single start, something you don’t see a ton of in the minors and considerably increases your upside if you’re capable of doing it. He hasn’t come back quite enough to move back inside my top 100 but he’s getting there so I actually don’t hate him under $10 just because I think he has the swing-and-miss stuff needed to really see his stock pop down the stretch.

Quinn Mathews (STL) - Rank: 49

  • Price This Week: $34.20 (no change)

  • Buy Rating: 2.1/5.0 (Don’t See Much Value)

    • Expected Value - $19.48

NINE IN A ROW! The man cannot be stopped. And this past start was perhaps his best striking out 10 over 7 innings with no earned runs. Of course he walked 3 batters but it’s Quinn Mathews so of course he did. His ERA by month this season: 4.58 in April, 5.85 in May, 2.05 in June, 1.04 in July. Just a ridiculous stretch right now. Since the impending lockout would only affect players on the 40-man roster it will be interesting to see if we see fewer September call-ups than usual from teams trying to protect their top prospects, and that does worry me with some of the guys like Mathews and Pecko because what else could the teams be waiting for? We should have seen Mathews probably two or three weeks ago, it’s time for St. Louis to make the call.

Luis Perales (WAS) - Rank: 85

  • Price Last Week: $8.68

  • Price This Week: $8.53 (-1.7%)

  • Buy Rating: 3.9/5.0 (Lean Buy)

    • Expected Value - $12.35

One of the stranger outings you can have while still qualifying for the hot sheet, Perales only gave up 2 hits over 5 innings but also walked 5. While you can’t take many positives away from that there is one thing that has me excited and it’s that they left him out there for 95 pitches, his highest of the season by nearly 10 pitches. He started this year in the 40 pitch per outing range, going up in the 60-70’s in April to June, and has now thrown 75+ in four straight starts. The reason I love this is because long-term Perales is almost certain to be a high leverage reliever, but the ceiling on his Bowman autograph for that call-up period will depend a lot on whether the Nationals bring him up in a starter or bullpen role. He’s been stretched out all season into a starter’s workload and though he hasn’t been overly effective he throws absolute gas, making him a fun name to hold onto for that MLB debut which should come any minute.
