It’s sad to say but this may be this season’s last hot sheet as the Minor League season is coming to an end and all levels except for Triple-A are now in the playoffs. There may be one more but that will depend on how this week’s playoff games shake out. I promise I haven’t forgotten about the pitcher rankings for 2025 Bowman Chrome but my deep dives and player scouting reports are taking longer than expected as I aim to give you the most thorough and up to date information. Either way I’ll make sure they drop this week for you all! Now, the hot sheet.

Any prospect who has had an OPS over 1.000 in back-to-back weeks. Those prospects will be highlighted orange and if they’ve been on this list for three or more consecutive weeks they will be highlighted purple.
Stock Going Up, Price Going Down 📈
Prospects with a base auto over $10 that is down more than 10% over the last two weeks. This is often the best section to look for buying opportunities as you can buy low on prospects who are heating up.

They may not have cards until later this month but it’s worth monitoring which players in the upcoming release are finishing the season on a hot streak. All players getting a 1st autograph in Chrome will be highlighted dark blue.

Alfredo Alcantara (CIN) - Three weeks in a row to end the year for Alcantara and maybe there’s something here? Like I said last week I wouldn’t go too crazy but I did snag a couple Refractor /499 and Speckle /299 autos myself at under $20 each. In four games last week Alcantara collected 4 hits including his 8th HR of the year while stealing a pair of bases. He’ll finish the year with a 147 wRC+ between the Complex League and Single-A but his numbers since the promotion have been even better with a 162 wRC+ and .210 ISO in 139 PA. The question for me is going to be about the future power. He’s 5’9” and may already be close to physically maxed out, and though he hit for great power for his age the swing isn’t exactly effortless. This is a gamble since the ceiling might not be as high as I’m hoping but at this price I think he’s absolutely worth stashing away for 2026. Only three prospects age 19 or younger had 125+ PA in Single-A this year with an ISO over .200 and BB% over 15%: Eduardo Quintero, Alfredo Duno, and Alfredo Alcantara. I’m not going crazy but if you’re with that company on any list I’ll grab something of yours.

James Tibbs III (LAD) - Consecutive appearances from the former Giants and Red Sox prospect James Tibbs III who is now a member of the Dodgers. This stretch he’s on since joining the Los Angeles organization has definitely been the best of his short career so far. After tallying 2 homers, a triple, and 2 doubles last week, Tibbs is now batting .269 with a .224 ISO and 155 wRC+ in 168 PA since his most recent trade. He’s now one of only twelve prospects in the minors age 22 or younger to hit 20 HR and steal 10 bases this year. Along with power the contact has ticked up since the trade also as Tibbs has a 78.3% contact rate and 8.6% SwStr% in Double-A with the Dodgers, which are both personal bests for any stop he’s made in the last two years. Despite being the ACC Player of the Year in 2024, Tibbs never got a ton of fantasy or hobby buzz due to the fact that people thought he might have average power and be a platoon bat. However, the power has looked great this year and he actually has a higher AVG and OBP against lefties than he does righties. Tibbs is trending up for me but he’ll be 23 next year so with his base auto approaching $50 I don’t see a ton of buying value. With that being said, if he looks this good in AAA his card values should still steadily increase and it will give him a good chance to debut in 2026 which would also help.
Leo De Vries (OAK) - Does he even need a write-up? Four HR last week for De Vries and for those of you who didn’t see my tweet he became the first 18-year-old prospect with multiple HR’s in a Double-A season since Bryce Harper. Pretty good. I talk all the time about how much value should be added to a prospect’s stats based on their age versus the level they’re playing in. Few get a bigger bonus than De Vries who is nearly 6 (!) years younger than his average competitor in Double-A where he now has a .270 ISO and 144 wRC+ in 103 PA. I mentioned that weight he receives in my rankings for being so young for the level is extremely heavy so with this absurd week he is going to leap both Kevin McGonigle and Sebastian Walcott and land as the #2 non-debuted hitting prospect for the hobby on tomorrow’s updated rankings. This is going to sound crazy but if his base auto is selling for $125 it’s a buy. It was going for that much entering this season and he’s been nothing short of unreal since then. Outside of Konnor Griffin whose base autograph is over $300, Leo De Vries is the best bet to be a hobby superstar in my opinion. This card has no business being under $200.
Roberto Campos (DET) - One of the few prospects I have a PC card of so I couldn’t help but get excited when I saw that Campos showed up here in back-to-back weeks. For those who don’t know Campos defected from Cuba after a baseball tournament in the Dominican Republic when he was 13. He then trained in the DR with former Detroit Tigers player Alex Sanchez and through that built a bond with the team which led to Detroit giving him their biggest signing bonus ever despite Campos only turning 16 two weeks prior and not being ranked on most international prospect lists. COVID stopped him from making his professional debut in 2020 and by the time he debuted in the Complex League in 2021 he hadn’t played competitive baseball in five years. When you look at his wRC+ over the years of 102, 103, 105, 126, and now 94 it doesn’t scream hobby superstar. And honestly his .111 ISO this year doesn’t either. But the fact that he’s overcome everything he’s had to in his life and has still made it to Double-A at age 22 is extremely impressive to me. I thought we might see some more power this year from the 6’3” Campos but I guess I’ll have to keep waiting. Glad to see him end the year on a tear and though he probably won’t be a big name he’s definitely my favorite guy to root for with an autograph under $5.
Cristofer Torin (ARI) - Repeat offender here although it was High-A last week and Double-A this week as Torin hit .381 in 25 PA the first week after his promotion. This is a guy who saw a little bit of hobby love in the past but it has come and gone now that everyone has realized the power isn’t coming. It’s a shame too because Torin is your old school ‘do anything to get on base’ type hitter, the hobby just doesn’t care. This year between High-A and Double-A he’s batting .291 with an 87.6% contact rate and 5.0% SwStr. His ISO however is .102 which I guess the silver lining is it’s up from .088 last year, but it’s still not enough. Though Bowman people HATE this kind of prospect I’ve always felt that you can’t go wrong grabbing autographs that are this cheap of players who are more than likely going to make it to the MLB. I mean he’s now already in AA and he just turned 20 at the end of May. He’s going to make it to the league and he’s probably going to do it at a younger age than most guys. The lack of power may stop this card from having the potential to go up 1,000%, but I think it should easily double by the time he makes it to the show.
Josh Kuroda-Grauer (OAK) - See above. JKG fits almost the exact same mold as Cristofer Torin. Now he’s not as young so the edge there goes to Torin but the rest of the skills are pretty similar. Another impressive contact rate here at 87.4% but it’s actually been 89% since his promotion to Double-A. Across two levels he’s batting .296 but his ISO is even worse at .076 given that he didn’t have a single HR in over 500 PA this year until he all of the sudden hit 2 last week. But those were the first 2 of his career so let’s not even pretend like the power is ticking up. JKG has never seen a pitch he didn’t like and though his contact skills are incredible and he puts everything in play, he also swings at everything. He has a 7.3% walk rate and pretty ridiculous 8.9% strikeout rate. When he steps up to the plate a ball is put in play almost 85% of the time. It’s wildly impressive but it will never be a set of tools the hobby cares about. As with Torin though, you stash a few under $5 and he probably makes it to the MLB next year where even if he doesn’t get much hype you can probably double your money. It’s not sexy but it’s probably safe.

Joe Mack (MIA) - All my homies love Joe Mack. On my preseason buy sheet for the Marlins he was a strong 4/5 buy at $5 and he’s now up about 450%. I also did an article where I had to pick a prospect under $20 to climb into MLB Pipeline’s top 100 by the end of this year and my Marlins pick was Joe Mack. He’s been my guy. The hobby doesn’t love catchers but this is one of my favorite ones given that he not only has plus power but also has plus defense behind the plate. After hitting 2 bombs last week Mack now has 20 on the season, a .214 ISO, and a 121 wRC+ between Double-A and Triple-A. Make no mistake he is the catcher of the Marlins future. Agustin Ramirez will be playing first base or DH’ing by next year because Joe Mack is their guy. I’m honestly shocked he’s still in AAA and I’m not sure what Miami is waiting for but at this point I’m actually hoping they don’t call him up. If we go into the offseason and he hasn’t debuted there’s a chance people will forget about him, which would give us another nice buying window before he is inevitably named their starting catcher next Spring.
