Last year when I did my Cardinals article it was a bit of a depressing one. They had zero hitting prospects that I labeled as a buy, with only two players inside my top 200 hobby rankings. Neither of them were in my top 150. Last year they were sellers at the deadline and Chaim Bloom did what he does best, restocked the farm with prospect talent. It’s a different story on this year’s sheet as they now have nine non-debuted hitters inside my top 200, including three of them in the top 30. What was a boring sheet last year is now one with five different buys that I like entering this season.
