I mentioned it a couple weeks back that aside from the day-to-day performances changing our weekly rankings there will be a few times a year that I sit down and do a full re-rank based on a number of factors that cannot be adjusted as frequently as the statistics but need to be done periodically to keep the rankings current. This will be the first one of the season for our hitters. As always remember that players who were drafted in 2025 will shift very drastically in the first few months of the season while they accumulate professional plate appearances so any big red numbers you see next to those players do not panic!
Also since the 2026 Bowman Cheat Sheet did not link directly to the emails I will put it at the bottom of this article so that you all who don’t use the browser can access it easier. One more quick thing, you’re going to wonder why you see big movements from DSL guys who just started playing in the CPX last week. It’s because after they hadn’t played a game for 8+ months the ‘performance’ part of their ranking falls off. Now that they’re back all of their stats come back into the equation. So they fell off earlier this year but now they’re back so it moves them back. It’s confusing but just wanted to explain why you might see a guy with 10 PA this year go up 50+ spots it’s really just bringing him back to where he should have been.
